Jared is a new DJ, a lapsed musician who was, in a previous life, a drum and bugle corps drum major and a church organist. He’s working to raise his profile in the city, most recently having played at the Hudson Hotel. He is capable of dark, moody tech house, but specializes in uplifting progressive. His overall style can best be described as intellectual. It is typically thoughtful, always sophisticated, and his music makes dancing appealing in an aspirational way, with the idea that we are capable of setting and achieving higher aesthetic standards for ourselves. He has been focusing on the dark art of warming up, and is masterful at slowly building energy over the course of a set.
