I have a weakness. A secret love. It’s called American Idol tryouts. I get a bit bored later in the season when they get into the serious singing, but the tryouts are some of the most entertaining television I’ve seen.
There are some terrific performers who show up. Then there are the truly awful “singers”, some of whom dress in costume. There are also people in-between, some of whom behave strangely. Idol does a great job of mixing it up, keeping the edits tight and the show moving.
Here are some highlights from the past few shows:

What music would you start to beatmach with on cdj,s House seems to be the most used to learn on from what i read as its Nor 126bpm ish?
House is easiest because everything is pretty much the same speed. Count in 32-beat sections to get the songs to line up right (try counting the beats out loud like this to get to 32 A,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 / B,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 / C,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 / D,2,3,4,5,6,7,8).
I usually figure out the bpm of each song in advance so I know that the two tracks I’m beatmatching will fit together.

I really enjoyed the final 5 American idol group song last night. It was moving to see Aaron Kelly removed however I think the other contestants were better singers so he needed to go!
I saw American Idol winner Lee has recently signed up to RCA records. I cannot wait to buy his upcoming album.
I think Donald Trump would be a much better American Idol judge than Harry Connick Jr. – Trump isn’t afraid to voice what he thinks plus can be as controversial as Simon Cowell.
